Literary Luminary- Discussion #4

Pg. 275- Eleanor's comparison between Park and Bruce Lee was both funny and endearing because she wanted him to know she thought he was that attractive, knowing that Park does have insecurities.

Pg. 291- I love the way Park shows his love to Eleanor. It's simple but meaningful just like him, and that's what I love the most. He puts a bit of his own soul in every drop of love he gives her.

Pg. 325- The three last words are left for us to assume. Why would the author believe it would be a good idea to let us think about what Eleanor had left to say to Park?

Discussion Director- Discussion #3

1. What does the necklace symbolize?
2. How will the sacrifices they do for each other eventually effect them because of their families rules?
3. How will the siblings become an obstacle?
4. Will the relationship between Tina and Park in the past effect Park and Eleanor's blooming love?

Predictions for Side Effects May Vary

I know that this story is generally about a teenage girl with leukemia that has a plan to finish her bucket list before fate abruptly stops it all.
The main character Alice has a best friend that in a sense she is using as a sidekick to help her do everything she desires on her bucket list.
With that information I think that the main conflict will be the relationships that she has built will crumble because of her mind set, that she won't be living any longer.
